Physics test on motion help?

so we had a science test today - the were 2 confusing questions I think I messed up on.

1. fill in the blank - The change of position of an object over time is _________.

I wrote speed, but a lot of ppl. put motion or acceleration, so I'm scared.

Next one -

2. multiple choice - If an object's distance from another is changing, then the object ________.

a) is in motion
b) is accelerating
c) is traveling at a constant speed
d) has a high velocity

I put a) but a lot of people put b).

pls help! what is the correct answer?

1Ans- Speed. Beacause here position is changing , it may be increasing or decreasing but it is changing it's position. So

speed equals distace covered over a span of time.

2ANS- If an object's distance from another is changing, then the object- Then the object is in motion.

1. Either Speed or Motion (depending on your class to be honest). Definitely not acceleration as we dont know whether or not the rate of change is changing from the given information.

2. a) is in motion. As described above, motion and speed are interchangable. We are given no additional information about the rate of change of the motion so we cannot select any other option.

1.speed,2.b
