Arrhythmia help please!!!!!!?



The contribution of (K+ATP) channels to the rapid increase in cellular K+ efflux and shortening of action potential duration (APD) during early myocardial ischaemia and hypoxia. 

Can someone help me explain how does lack of oxygen ( hypoxia ) contributes to the short duration of action potential? Isn't it suppose the increase the duration since lack of oxygen leads to less ATP formed and less K+ efflux?
