A mad scientist decides to slide up a 120 steep and 300 m high hill in a mini-sliding-carlike device that uses up fuel at a rate of 3L for every 40 m of displacement. At the very start of the climb the combined mass of the scientist and the car is 120 kg and he starts from rest. He guesstimates that he will attain a maximum speed before reaching the highest point of the hill in 0.3 kinetic friction coefficient conditions. Is he right?
