Steam enters a combined power and process plant at a pressure of Íž30bar and a 
temperature of Íž400°C with a velocity of 90m/s and leaves as liquid at 90°C with a velocity of 
10m/s. The exit point is 35m below the entry point and the flow rate is Íž5140kg/hour. The 
heat loss rate from the plant is 140kW. Determine for the plant the power output and the 
exit pipe flow area.
