Chitin

Chitin is linear homopolysaccharide found in the fungal cell walls and the arthropod cuticle. The polymer is composed of repeating units of N-acetylglucosamine linked through β-1,4 glycosidic bonds. The material takes the form of fibrillar structures as in case of cellulose.
