Math problems please help

I suck when it comes to word problems. And I really need help with the following:

1.) The volume of a rectangular Chinese box is given by the formula V=LWH. The volume of the box shown on the right 126 cu. units. Find the width and length.

2.) The dimensions of a rectangle are such that its length is 9 in. more than its width. If the length were doubled and if the width were decreased by 4 in.m the are would be increased by 168 in.^2. What are the length and width of the rectangle?

3.) A square poster has sides measuring 2 feet less than the sides of a square sign. If the difference between their areas is 12 square feet, find the lengths of the sides of the poster and the sign.

4.) The product of two consecutive positive integers is 29 more than their sum. Find the integers.

*I got the answers 6, -5, but I'm not sure if that makes sense, considering one of the number's negative. I might have done it wrong.

Thanks guys :)
