with mean of 1 pound and standard deviation of 0.25 pounds.



a. What is the probability that a randomly selected tomato weighs more than 0.75 pounds?



b. A basket of 10 tomatoes is brought to market (assume that the tomatoes are a random

sample of tomatoes). What is the expected value and standard deviation of the sample

mean in this case?



c. A basket of 10 tomatoes is brought to market (assume that the tomatoes are a random

sample of tomatoes). What is the probability that the average weight is more than 1.25

pounds?
