Help, English homework question!!!!!?

How do u start an essay that is comparing two Shakespeare plays (Macbeth, and merchants of Venice) at a high grade? (Preferably A*) the question is "compare the presentation of Shylock and lady Macbeth, focus on the way in which the characters are shown under pressure" and I have no idea how to start it as the intro is one of the important parts. Much help needed and thank u to anyone who helps me! :)
