Question on Engineering Materials.?

Question on Engineering Materials.?

Just finished up my lecture. Trying to attempt some optional questions we haven't really covered.

Any help would be appreciated. Esp if you come to an answer.

(a) Calculate the heat flux (in W/m2) through a sheet of a metal 13 mm thick if the temperatures at the two faces are 300 and 150 ?C. Assume steady-state heat flow and that the thermal conductivity of this metal is 54.9 W/m·K.

(b) What is the heat loss per hour if the area of the sheet is 0.31 m2?

(c) What will be the heat loss per hour if a material with a thermal conductivity of 1.1 W/m·K is used?

(d) Calculate the heat loss per hour if the first metal is used and the thickness is increased to 20 mm.

Update: also if possible

e) A copper wire is stretched with a stress of 100 MPa at 20?C. If the length is held constant, to what temperature must the wire be heated to reduce the stress to 30 MPa? The value of ?l for copper is 17.0 × 10-6 (°C)-1, the modulus of elasticity is equal to 110 GPa.
