The great, grey-green, greasy Zambezi River flows over Victoria Falls in south central Africa. The falls are approximately 108m high. If the river is flowing horizontally at 3.6m/s just before going over the falls, what is the velocity of the water when it hits the bottom?

A ball is thrown 20.0 m/s at an angle of 40.0º with the horizontal. Assume the ball is thrown at ground level.

a.) How long does it take the ball to reach the wall?
b.) At what height does the ball hit the wall?
c.) Calculate the velocity of the ball at this instant before it hits the wall.
d.) Is it moving up or down at this point?
