Five 44.3 kg riders are spinning with a tangential speed of 4.10 m/s at a radius of 3.6 m on a 316.1 kg merry-go-round with a radius of 3.6 m.  5.00 seconds later, one of them has fallen off and is in the air going 4.10 m/s at a radius of 4.50 m. What is the new angular velocity of the spinning merry-go-round with the other riders still rotating at their original radii? (Assume no loss to non-conservative forces.)Note: You will need to take into account the angle between the momentum of the lost rider and his current radius in order to calculate his contribution to the angular momentum of the system.
