Solve equations for given unknown?!?

I started doing simple maths and don't have access to direct help till next week and desperately want to finish these beforehand. 

Can someone please solve these for me and briefly/simply explain how each step is done so I understand? 

Q: Solve each of the following equations for the given unknown. Leave solutions in simplest rational 
form. 

a. 3 + 2u = 2(4 − u) − 3u 
b. 2/(x-2) + 2/x = x-1/x(x-2) 
c. 0 < 2(3 − x) − 2 < 6 
d. −x^2 − x + 6 ≤ 0 (use a sign diagram)
