What kind of gated channel opens first in the neuron.Answer Sodium gated channel. 
This allowed Na+ to move into the cell causing the cells concentration to increase inside the cell. 
1. How should this affect the membrane potential.???? 
Next the K+ channels open allowing potassium to move out of the cell. This causes its concentration to decrease inside the cell. 
2. How should this affect the cell membrane. 
3. Now what happens to the Na+ inactivation gate? 
4. With the influx of Na+ blocked and K+ still leaving the cell, the charge inside the cell should ______ even more.
