Energy of the photon vs energy of the electron?



Can you advice me which equations do I need to use for this question? and what is the difference in the way that we calculate the energy of the photon and the energy of the electron? 

And can you help me solving this question as an example 

Consider a hydrogen atom that has an electron in the n = 3 energy level. (i) Calculate the wavelength and energy (in eV and Joules) of the minimum photon energy required to ionise the atom. (ii) Calculate the wavelength and energy (in eV and Joules) of the minimum photon energy that could be absorbed by the atom. (iii) What is the wavelength band in which these two photons occur (e.g. X-ray, ultraviolet, ….). If visible light, what is the colour?
