Math workplace and apprenticeship 10 unit 2 please help, idk what to do.?

You are hired to build a small garden shed. It will be 5m long by 3m wide with 8’ walls. It will have one 24” by 36” window in the side and a door in the front that is 4’6” by 6’.

Step 1: The concrete pad

The shed will be built on a concrete pad 5m by 3m and 3 inches deep. You need to order the concrete and must figure out the correct amount. As concrete is expensive it is important that you have enough concrete without ordering too much. The company that you order from sells its concrete by the cubic yard. The price is $145/yd3.

a) Find the volume of concrete needed in cubic yards (yd3). (Round your answer to 2 decimal
places)

b) How much concrete will you order (you can only order in full yards so remember to round up)?

c) Find the cost to pour the concrete.

Step 2: The walls

The walls will be framed out of two-by-fours and sheeted with plywood.

a) Find the total surface area of the walls in square feet to the nearest square foot (Ignore the door and window)?

b) Plywood is bought in 4’ by 8’ sheets. How many will you need to order for the walls?

c) Subtract the area of the window and door from the wall surface area to find the exact area of the walls.

d) You are asked to order and stain the outdoor walls of the shed. If one gallon covers 350 ft2 of wood, how many gallons of stain do you need?

e) One gallon of stain costs $45.99. Find the cost to stain the shed (include PST and GST in your calculations).
