Determining the Chemical Formula of a Hydrate. The following data has been collected by heating a sample 
CuxCly ● zH2O and from rehydration and REDOX reaction using Al wire. Showing all calculations with properly 
labeled units determine the formula of the hydrate. Note: Not showing the work will result in no credit 
regardless of the correct formula 

Mass of Crucible = 12.972 g 
Mass of Crucible and Hydrated Sample = 13.968 g 
Mass of Crucible and Dehydrated Sample = 13.762 g 
Mass of Empty Watch Glass= 18.391 g 
Mass of Filter Paper= 0.954 g 
Mass of Watch Glass, Filter Paper, and Copper= 19.728 g
