Need help working out the following maths questions?

This question is about a carpenter's bench-hook, it is made of three pieces of scrap wood: the main bord is 12 inches by 12, and 1 inch thick (i.e. between it's upper and lower surfaces). The two 'stop rails' are made from lengths of wood with square cross-section of 1 1/2 by 1 1/2 inches, and each of these runs the full 12" width of the board.

Q1. What is the volume of the main panel only?

Q2. What is the total volume of wood in the two rails?

Q3. What is the total volume of wood in the whole bench-hook?

Q4. What is the total working area of the top panel (i.e., 12 x 12 inches minus the depth of the top rail)?

Thanks guys
