The velocity vector in a fluid flow is given by V = 2x^3i – 6x^2yj + 4tk. Find the velocity and acceleration of the fluid particle at (2,2,3) at time t =1 *

Determine the third component of velocity such that they satisfy the continuity equation. u = 6x^2, v = 4xy^2z *

Water flows through a pipe AB of diameter 40 mm which is in series with a pipe BC of diameter 65 mm in which the velocity is 2.35 m/s. At c, the pipe branches, the velocity in CD is 1.8 m/s and the other branch CE is of diameter 25 mm and the conditions are such that the discharge in pipe CD is equal to two times the discharge in CE. Calculate the discharge in AB and CD, the velocity in the pipe AB and CE and also work out the diameter of CD. *
