HELP NEEDED WITH BIOLOGY PLEASE

On February 16, 2015, Dr. Eugene Bertran left his job as a chemist at Newton Biotech with his lab coat on. When he arrived home he realized that he had left a bottle of dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCCD ), a chemical used in his peptide synthesis lab in his lab coat pocket. He put the bottle on the table in his entry way so he would remember to bring it back to work. Later that evening, Dr. Bertran noticed that his Schnauzer Rufus seemed incredibly lethargic. When he investigated, Dr. Bertran saw that Rufus had knocked the bottle of DCCD from the table and had most likely licked some of it up. Knowing that DCCD was a poison, Dr. Bertran immediately rushed Rufus to the emergency veterinary clinic. Cellular metabolic results from testing done by the vet are as follows:

- O2 is present
- Rufus’ cells are only producing 4 ATP per molecule of glucose
- Pyruvate is present in the cytoplasm and acetyl CoA is present in the mitochondria
- NADH levels are normal
Given these facts determine the step in the cellular respiration pathway that is affected by DCCD and support your answer with as much evidence as you can, in a paragraph. You may use diagrams if it will aid your explanation.
