Microbiology question? need urgent!

With an antibiotic concentration of 2ug/ml, an inhibitory zone of diameter 5mm is produced against the target bacterium. With a disc containing 4ug/ml of the same antibiotic, an inhibitory zone of 8mm diameter is produced, and with a disc containing 8ug/ml of antibiotic the zone was 10mm. Why, when the concentration of antibiotic is doubled does the zone of inhibition of growth not double?
