Fluid kinematics is the branch of fluid mechanics which deals with the study of velocity and acceleration of the particles fo fluid in motion and their distribution in space without consideration of any forces or energy involved.

Fluid Motion

Motion of fluid can be described fully by an expression describing the locating of the fluid particle in space at different times thus enabling determination of the magnitude and direction of velocity and acceleration in the flow field at any instant of time.

Methods for describing fluid motion:

1.    Lagrangian method
2.    Eulerian method
