A function of the form

f (x) = c

where c is a constant, is called a constant function. Thus to each x,f associates the same number c. For example, the function

f (x) = 5

is a constant function, all functional values are shown the graph of the function f (x) = 5, a horizontal line 5 units above the X-axis.
